Hi, I’m Lala!
Designer, maker, owner of the necklace studio.
As a shy, introverted person, necklaces are my security blanket. They allow me to express myself boldly, yet silently, and give my fingers something soothing to do in sticky social situations. A graphic designer by trade working for museums, art galleries and artists, I turned to jewelry making as a creative outlet which turned into a full-time passion.
My love of beads
My love of beads stems from my grandmother. She was an artist and dressed very simply, but always had on a string or two of mixed gemstone beads. The colors, the variety, and even the movement and sound inspired me from a young age. When I started making jewelry for friends, I realized how certain color combinations empowered the wearer, gave them confidence, and made them feel happier.
