How fast will my items ship?
Most orders ship within 2-3 business days, via USPS priority mail. Delivery time depends on your location. Custom orders ship one week after design approval.

Will I get tracking information?
Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link so you can follow it every step of the way.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, I’ll do our best to update it. Email us at laura@thenecklacestudio.com as soon as possible.
What if my package is lost or delayed?
I’ll help investigate, so please reach out to us with your order number.
How is the jewelry packaged?
Each piece comes beautifully packaged with a micro fiber pouch, in a box with ribbon—ready for gifting or treating yourself.
Do you ship in sustainable or eco-friendly packaging?
Yes! I use recyclable and minimal packaging whenever possible to reduce waste.
Return Policy
Do you accept returns?
Yes! If you're not in love with your piece, you can return it within 5 days of delivery for store credit.
What’s your return policy?
Items must be unused and returned in their original condition and packaging. Customers are responsible for return shipping. Custom designs and sale items are final sale and not eligible for return.
How do I start a return?

Do you offer exchanges?
If you'd prefer a different item or color, I’d be happy to help you exchange it (as long as it's in stock).
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
Can I return a gift?
Yes—just contact me with the order details. We can issue a store credit or exchange, depending on the situation.
How long does it take to process a return?
Once I’ve receive your return, please allow 5–7 business days for your refund or exchange to be processed.

How do I request a custom design?

Can I choose my own gemstones?
I’ll do my best to bring your vision to life using the gemstones we have in stock. If I have the colors or stones you're looking for, I’m happy to incorporate them into your custom design.

Can you remake a necklace I saw in your shop or on Instagram?
I’m happy to recreate past designs whenever possible! Due to bead availability, your piece may have slight variations—but it will still carry the same overall look of the original. Just let me know which one caught your eye!
Can you create a necklace for a special occasion or gift?
Yes! I specialize in meaningful pieces for milestones like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, motherhood, and gifts just for you!
I know my favorite colors—will they work together in a necklace?
Not all colors pair perfectly as-is, but variations and tones can make the magic happen. If you're unsure, I can help you blend your favorites into something beautiful and custom. Just reach out to start designing together.

How do I tell my color story?
Start by noticing the colors you wear often, the ones you decorate your home with, or even the packaging that catches your eye. These patterns reveal your natural preferences—and hint at your unique color story.
I am not used to wearing a lot of color, is there a good way to start?
Keep it simple. Try a necklace in a single color or one with soft, low-contrast tones. Stick to all-pale shades or all-saturated hues for an easy, balanced look that still brings a gentle pop of color.
JEWELLERY CARE
How should I care for my beaded gemstone jewelry?
Handle with love! Always store your jewelry in a pouch after each wear, so it doesn't get scratched or tangled. Avoid tugging or twisting the necklace to preserve the hand-knotting.
Can I wear my jewellery in the shower or while swimming?
We recommend removing all your jewellery before showering, swimming, being active, or starting any exercise. Water, chlorine, and salt can dull gemstones, and wear on the silk thread.
How should I clean my gemstone necklace?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe your necklace after wearing. For deeper cleaning, gently wipe stones with a damp cloth—avoid harsh chemicals or soaking.
Can I use jewelry cleaner on it?
Not recommended for gold filled or beaded jewelry. Stick to gentle cloths and mild, damp wipes when needed.
Are your necklaces delicate?
They’re durable but still handmade—treat them gently and avoid pulling or stretching to keep them in great shape.
Can I wear it daily?
Yes, with care. Our pieces are designed to be part of your everyday magic—but removing them before bed or water exposure helps them last longer. Keep lotion, perfume, sunscreen and hairspray from getting on your necklace.
What if my necklace breaks?
I get it—life happens! If your necklace breaks within one year of purchase, I’ll happily restring it for free. Just send it back to me, and I’ll return it newly knotted and refreshed. After one year, I offer repairs for a small restringing fee. Reach out anytime to start the process.
Do you offer care instructions with the jewelry?
Yes, every order includes a care card to help you keep your jewelry looking beautiful.

What makes your necklaces hand-knotted?
Each bead is individually knotted by hand, adding strength, flexibility, and a beautiful drape to every piece. Silk thread naturally relaxes over time, so I knot each piece tightly to account for the gentle stretch.
What is so special about natural gemstones?
We hand select natural gemstones for their unique qualities, color, and one-of-a-kind beauty—no two beads are ever exactly alike.
What is a gold filled clasp, and how durable is it?
A gold filled clasp features a 2.5 micron pressure bonded layer of real 14K gold over a sturdy base met, usually brass. With proper care, it offers lasting shine and elegance. We use gold filled for its beauty and affordability.
How do you source your gemstones?
All stones are carefully chosen and handpicked by Laura, a graduate gemologist.
What length are your necklaces? How do you choose your necklace lengths?
Lengths vary, but most pieces are designed to layer beautifully. Length details are listed with each product.
What makes hand-knotted necklaces special?
The knotting adds a timeless, elevated touch—giving the necklace a soft, luxurious drape while protecting the gemstones from scratching each other. And if it ever breaks, only one bead comes loose instead of the whole strand.
What thread or cord do you use for knotting?
I use high-quality silk thread for longevity, flexibility, beautiful knots, and a luxurious finish.
Are your necklaces lightweight or heavy?
They’re thoughtfully designed to feel substantial but comfortable—light enough for daily wear, bold enough to stand out.
Can I layer these with other jewelry?
